Creative training and support for students and creative entrepreneurs. Textile designs for final degree projects and mentorship with consultancy for professional development.
Inés Rodriguez undertakes training and creative consultancy through participation in talks, conferences, and congresses, or in specific textiles workshops. She also supports other creative entrepreneurs through design, entrepreneurship, and work programme management mentoring.
In these events, as well as talking about my experience and career as an artisan textile designer, I also pass on knowledge related to weaving and its techniques, transmitting all the values associated with my extensive textile experience.
In this, I am referring to sustainability, materials, innovation, as well as the care and respect in the textile manufacturing processes.
As a mentor for creative entrepreneurs, especially women in rural areas, I support them in business management, product design, communication, and marketing through personalised mentoring and participation in projects such as «Crecemos Juntas» (We Grow Together), organised by the Ministry of Agriculture and Agrobank CaixaBank.
Events such as “Unique, which Cearcal organises, where I've had the opportunity to participate on different occasions, are meeting places with different Design Schools where I can pass on my passion for my work to the new generations.
The exchange of knowledge in forums from different Spanish Universities such as Santiago de Compostela, Vigo, or Granada, at meetings and conferences related to Design and Craftsmanship, also contributes to bringing my work within the dissemination of Craftsmanship closer to other sectors in the field of Fine Arts or culture.
Finally, being able to participate as a speaker at an event TEDx, as it was held in my city in 2019 (TDEx Xardín do Posio) entitled “Craftsmanship 4.0”,gives me the opportunity to bring my personal experience and artisanal values to the general public, uniting them with ecology and innovation.
My training in different disciplines, such as International Project Manager, also helps me to support other female artisans and creative entrepreneurs by contributing my knowledge and experience with regard to textiles and business management.
