The European Crafts Days are an opportunity to learn the secrets of the different crafts.
The European Crafts Days are the celebration of craftsmanship throughout Europe. Each country encourages the craft sector to open their workshops, perform demonstrations for the general public and thus bring craftsmanship closer to citizens through multiple activities.
This year Spain is the Guest Country. For this reason, more than 450 different activities will take place in every corner of our territory throughout one week. If you want to know them you can access this link and visit some of them.

In our country, Fundesarte, which belongs to the Eoi, is in charge of coordinating, disseminating and giving visibility to all of them. Demonstrations, more artistic exhibitions, forums, unique meetings that through this website are accessible and free for craft enthusiasts or families.
In my case, from my town in Allariz, we participate with an activity that I have coordinated: an exhibition of artisans of different trades of the town and the region.

"De aquí e Acolá" is a sample of the most artistic and unique pieces of our local craftsmanship.
In this way we join the celebration of the European Days of Crafts, bringing tourists and visitors to the good craftsmanship of our area.
In addition, in this handicraft exhibition you will find the location of the different handicraft workshops that can be visited. In this way it will be possible to know more closely all the secrets of the different crafts.
I leave you the link because the exhibition will also be available during the Easter vacations. A good opportunity to learn about local crafts, textiles, leather, ceramics, ... and also know the cultural richness of our people, as well as its gastronomy.
Craftsmanship is a cultural activity that is linked to the territories. A creative way to get to know small towns and culture through the objects and the people who make them there.
European Crafts Days showcase the richness of craft trades
These activities of the European Crafts Days show us the richness of the crafts of the different European countries. These crafts are linked to their culture and to the natural materials produced in their territories.
In fact in Spain activities such as textile crafts have a long tradition, embroidery, carpets, wool fabrics or blankets have been made in our territory for a very long time.
Our artisan workshop has been recognized by Interiores Magazine as one of the 10 best brands of sustainable fabrics in Spain.
Still today in workshops like ours we try to recover techniques so that they can pass from generation to generation. Although it is difficult and increasingly these trades, little appreciated by young people who also do not know them.
That is why bringing craft activities, the good work of traditional crafts, with their values of honesty and respect for the materials to the visiting public and tourists is an unbeatable opportunity to get to know them.
Today our craft activities are linked to design and innovation as well, so the younger public will find many surprises when visiting the workshops during the European Crafts Days.
