Fueguitos blue wool blanket

Description

This handmade wool blanket is inspired by the story "Los fueguitos" by Eduardo Galeano, where hewrites that there are little fires of many colors. As we believe in the diversity of each person, that's why each blanket is different.

This uniquely designed luxury blanket is hand-woven with wool in our Textile Crafts studio.

This wool blanket is handmade on a traditional loom with different natural materials: blue and white merino wool, white mohair. This handmade blanket has however a modern design that adapts to the most modern interior design.

The loops are woven manually inspired by the ancient technique of "gorullo", very popular in Galicia especially in rural areas. This in the case of this weaving instead of doing it with a rigid rod, they are made gently by hand one by one, to get that voluptuous texture of this handmade artisan blanket that are a real caress.

These wool blankets are warm, light, soft, delicate and very loving, with a nice touch and volume. One side has more color and the reverse side is different and whiter. Thus they can be used on both sides with different designs, which makes this blanket a unique piece of textile craftsmanship.

The customer can order the product to his liking, with some variation, making our design his own.
