Product description and history.

This collection "Los Fueguitos" to which these handmade wool maxi scarves of different colors belong, is inspired by the story "Un Mar de Fueguitos" by Eduardo Galeano, from his book "Los abrazos", where he says that each person is different from the others.

It says in this text that "no two fires are alike and that each fire has its own color. There are people who have serene fires, which the wind does not even notice, and there are people with crazy fires that fill the air with sparks. Some foolish fires, do not ignite or burn, but others, others burn their lives with so much anxiety that you can not stop looking at them without blinking and whoever comes close ignites".

The fact that they are handmade makes these handcrafted wool scarves as unique as the people. They symbolize the passion for life, the authenticity of each of the people who own them, to wrap and care for the difference.

Like the handmade blankets, these handmade wool maxi scarves are a product of contemporary textile craftsmanship with a contemporary design.

Woven by hand on our looms with a technique, developed by us, which is based on an ancient Galician technique called "Gorullo". This ancient technique made loops with a rod in the fabric when weaving it on the loom. I make these handmade maxi scarves on my loom with a different and natural wool. I remove each loop one by one, by hand, with my fingers, placing it to make a piece that has a different right and a different back, making drawings with the wool as small "hearts".

The weft is made with different natural and soft materials, such as merino wool with silk or mohair, alpaca,... in different colors. These pieces of wool textile crafts are made one by one on a handloom, and it takes a week to weave them. 

These handmade scarves are special and unique because the wool with which they are made comes from old mill yarns and we have limited pieces for each color. In this case yellow is a bright and vital color that brings us joy.  

Unique women's accessories that will accompany you in your day to day. They are light, soft, delicate and very loving, with a pleasant touch and volume. The colors are combined in relation to the different materials in bands of different wools.
