Decorative handmade tapestry from the Morno collection

This decorative tapestry is handmade in our textile craft workshop. It is hand-woven on our loom using different natural materials: merino wool, Castilian wool and linen cotton.

It is woven on our hand loom, horizontally as it was done in the past, using our own techniques based on the traditional weaving techniques of Galicia. To make the wool loops we use the "Gorullo" technique, but lifting the loops by hand, one by one.

At the same time I am mixing the wool as if it were a watercolor, in order to achieve the pictorial effects of water or clouds. In this way I rescue a traditional technique to develop it in the future.

Another use that can be given to this handmade product is as a carpet for home decoration.

Each decorative tapestry is unique, as it is not possible to make two pieces alike, they are woven to order and the colors are mixed by hand.
